What Stylon does
The shelf behind you is a second business
They already trust what you used on them. Selling them the bottle is the easiest money in the trade — and the easiest to lose track of.
The hardest part of selling anything is getting somebody to trust your recommendation. You have already done that. They sat in your chair for an hour and watched you work, and if you say this is the right shampoo for their hair, they believe you — which is a position most shops spend a fortune trying to reach.
And yet the shelf is usually the most neglected thing in the room.
Why it gets neglected
Not because owners do not want the margin. Because the admin is miserable. Nobody knows what is actually on the shelf, the last count was in spring, two of the best sellers have been out of stock for a month without anybody noticing, and the ones that are gathering dust were ordered in a quantity that made sense at the time.
So it becomes a thing you deal with when you get a minute, and nobody ever gets a minute.
Stock that counts itself
The fix is unglamorous: when a product is sold at the desk, the number on the shelf goes down by one, automatically, without anybody writing anything. Then "what do I need to order" is a question with an answer, and "why did we run out of the one everybody asks for" stops happening.

A shop that is open when you are not
The same products on a page means the client who runs out on a Sunday buys from you instead of from a chemist. They already know the product — they are not shopping, they are repeating. That is the easiest sale there is, and it happens while the door is locked.
It also changes what you can do with the customers you already have: the people who bought that product three months ago are exactly the people who need it again now.
One till, not two
The thing that makes this work is that the product sale and the appointment are the same transaction. One payment, one receipt, one set of takings at the end of the day. The moment retail lives in a separate system, the counting stops and the shelf goes back to being a cupboard.
What changes
Margin you were leaving on the table, a shelf that tells you what it needs, and a quiet second income on the days you are closed.
